Alistair Campbell returns to the public relations, and this time not for
Tony Blair, but for the Kosovo Prime Minister, Hashim Thaci.
“Evening Standard” says that in the last months, the EU announced the start of the investigations after the reports that accused Mr. Thaci of having connections with the organized crime and organs traffic, accusations that the Prime Minister of Kosovo has strongly denied.
The new mission of the adviser who worked as Director of Communications at the British government directed by Tony Blair, means more visits in Prishtina and more advises for Kosovo’s main ministers for having a better communication with the local and foreign opinion.
This task has been trusted to him also for the fact that Mr. Campbell is well known in Prishtina for his role at the British Government during the Kosovo war, and the role of the media communication during this conflict.
It seems unclear if Campbell’s task will be financed by the Government of Kosovo or by the British Foreign Minsitry. Based on the war crimes accusations against Blair and the way how Campbell managed this situation at that time, this mission in Kosovo seems an easy task for him.
Campbell declared that he will be a part-time advisor, and this will be supported by the British Council that is in fact financed by the British Foreign Ministry.
Alistair Campbell has been considered by international media as very talented in public relations. His role as Tony Blair’s right hand is considered as decisive in the successes of the British Prime Minister.
