Invited by the Vice President of the EU Commission, the Albanian acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj, attended an informal meeting between the EU Foreign Affairs Ministers and the Western Balkan countries, in Helsinki.
Since 1974, this meeting has been held regularly before the six-month term of the European Coucnil Presidents.
The EU aspiring countries have a non-formal attendance to discuss the main topics of the EU agenda.
The Albanian acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj, has a very tight agenda in this trip, meeting with his counterparts and discussing Albania’s expectations for a positive decision by the Council for the EU accession negotiations.
