Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future Byshek is a well known tourist area for the entire region. The water
resources have made this place famous, turning it into a potential
tourist attraction.
But Byshek has been abandoned recently and there have been no investments. The reservoirs built before the 90s have been destroyed. Wastes and natural moss have polluted the crystal water and have created an ugly panorama. The residents have built constructions around the water source, and this has made the tourists abandon the place.
Agim Tufa has been a regular visitor of this tourist attraction, but he has abandoned it due to the lack of infrastructure.
Byshek is situated in the Southern part of the city of Elbasan, at the Shkumbin Valley, at the Shushice village. It is an area full of century old plane trees and cold watered springs that make its beauty very impressive.
