Butrint is organizing the 16th International Theater Festival, with the attendance of Albania, Macedonia, Ukraine and Greece.
The Director of the Festival, Alfred Bualoti, said that despite the lower funds that support this activity, the selected troops have brought the most modern artistic experiences of the region.
“It is extremely difficult and the state must do something about the sponsor law, which is not functional at all”, Bualoti declared.
The festival brought this Wednesday the “Man and Fire” piece, based on the myth of Prometheus, directed by Dejan Projkovski, Macedonia.
The Festival is expected to continue this Thursday with “Monger”, brought by Albania’s National Opera and Ballet Theater, with the choreography of the Israeli director, Barak Marshall. It will be concluded by the “Cherry Garden” of Anton Chekhov, brought by the Ukrainian Theater, directed by Yaroslav Fedoryshyn.
