51-year-old Ardian Nikulaj, was killed today at noon today in the northwestern coastal city of Shengjin, in his business.
Sources indicate that the 51-year-old was alone in his downtown bar “Coral”, where it is suspected that the assassins went on a motorcycle, shot several times at Nikulaj and then left.
The police said that checkpoints have been set up and the area has been cordoned off where checks are being carried out to catch the perpetrator or perpetrators.
Nikulaj was a former candidate for deputy with the Social Democratic Party in the elections of 2021. While in the local elections that are expected to be held on May 14, he was a candidate for the Municipal Council of Shengjin.
“On Wednesday around 1:30 p.m., under still unclear circumstances, citizen A.N., 50 years old, resident of Shengjin, was shot dead in the premises of his bar. Police services and the investigative team immediately went to the scene. Checkpoints have been set up and the area has been cordoned off where checks are continuing to catch the author/s”, the authorities’ announcement states.
