Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future Businesses at the meeting of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry
declared that the programs of the parties for the next government should
include the payment of all debts that the state owes to businessmen,
including tax reimbursement within three months.
“We demand the payment of what the government owes to all private businessmen of all economy areas, such as VAT reimbursement, excise and all other taxes that the state could owe within three months. This can be realized with the necessary legal interventions”, declared Nikolin Jaka from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Businesses demanded fewer obstacles in the promotion of Albanian products, in order to increase export.
“Removing barriers and hidden taxes that hamper the promotion of made in Albania products; removing the reference system against the private businesses for import and exports with all EU countries; removing the reference system for private businesses in the fiscal system; a VAT not higher than 10% for agricultural domestic products and tourist services”, Jaka declared.
Businesses want a clear platform related with the treatment of bad loans, freezing them for a two-year deadline and opening an economic bank for development that focuses on loans for private businesses with lower fees. As for transport, businesses want VAT removal for tickets, removed excise for oil and a reviewed price for bus tickets and comparing them with the other neighbouring countries.
