The Albanian Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ditmir Bushati, declared at the Parliamentary Foreign Commission that Albania’s next step is the important decision of June, regarding the EU accession negotiations, for which our diplomacy is contacting with all EU countries.
He said that the government has no illusions that Albania’s problems will get resolved with the opening of the negotiations.
“This process is not only about the Rama government and this majority, but about all Albanians”, the Minister said after seeing that the DP was absent in the commission. “Our invitation for cooperation remains open”.
The Sofia summit will lead to important conclusion about the process, since it is the first summit for the Western Balkan countries, since the one of Thessaloniki in 2003. The key word of this meeting will be the interconnection between Balkan countries.
