Bushati in Latvia, receives support for Albania’s EU accession negotiations

During his visit to Baltic countries, the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ditmir Bushati, met in Latvia with his counterpart Edgar Rinkevics.

The meeting focused on the European integration process, the transforming impact that the enlargement politics has in Balkan, including security.

Minister Bushati updated his counterpart with the judiciary reform process and the measures undertaken by the government to fulfil the main five priorities in the integration process, focusing on the accession negotiations.

Minister Rinkevics confirmed Latvia’s support for a positive decision about opening Albania’s EU accession negotiations during this year.
