Bus owners protest against Greek decision

The Transportation Association reacted after the Greek Ministry of
Transport decided to suspend the license of 22 bus lines between the two
countries.

Bus owners protested in Kapshtica, considering the Greek decision as arbitrary, saying that it will not only ruin the Albanian companies, but will also increase the travel prices for our emigrants. They warned that the strike would escalate.

30 buses gathered in the Kapshtica border. The association of international transport held a strike against the order, saying that it discriminates the Albanian companies and favours the Greek ones.

According to this order, the transport lines should be licensed only for suburban lines mainly in Iannina, Igumenica, Corinth, Tripoli, Vollos and Cozana. The transport to Athens will be realized only by the Greek lines, increasing the ticket price with 40%.
