Bulqize, miners: galleries are not safe

The Area D miners in Bulqize warned that they would block the galleries
again, after noticing that their working places are not safe.
The miners accused the administration of violating the agreement, and notified that no inspector has ever arrived to verify Area D.
They also declared that in this area there are other people who are working in parallel.
The strike ended with an agreement, with the ACR Company complying to increase the wages, to invest for the mine’s perspective and for more safety at work.
A recent inspection performed when the miners were holding the hunger strike inside the underground galleries, gave an alarm for the mine degradation. Based on their report, the Peshkopia Court decided to remove the striking miners from the galleries, since their lives were at risk. The RISHM specialists have visited the site to check the safety conditions of the gallery.
The miners’ agreement provides a payment for 22 days of the leave, together with the 13th salary. According to the agreement with ACR, the miners wage would increase with 20%.
