Bulqize, 80 miners are unemployed

The situation at the Bulqize mine keeps being very tense and problematic
for the 80 miners at the Area D. The work at this gallery has been
suspended since October, after a miner died and eight others were
wounded.

The Ministry of Energy closed the Area D by suspending the ACR Company until all conditions will be fulfilled. The areas where the mineral is extracted have been illegally privatized. This stock at the Area D was used to dump the inert materials that were extracted by the galleries, which also have chrome.

The miners have connected their life to this area that is considered as very dangerous, due to the landslides and collapses. The Miners Union held a series of meetings with the mine leaders for starting the work as soon as possible. It is expected that a Turkish Company will be contracted in the area.

The residents of the surrounding houses also run to this area for collecting and transporting hundreds of kilograms of chrome, with which they secure their living.
