One miner died today in the Area D of the Bulqize mine. The Ministry of
Economy had suspended all mining permits in this area, due to unsafe
conditions.

The 55-year-old ACR miner Fetah Shehu, after staying without work for more than four months of the strike, since ACR had been suspended, was employed by another company in Gallery 66, at the Area D of Bulqize.

The miner was hit by a massive landslide and passed away while the colleagues were still trying to take his body out of the soil.

Police are investigating for the causes of this tragic accident.

Minister of Economy had order that no one should start working in this area. The company has violated the order and none of the respective institutions have made their duty to stop them, causing this way the tragic death.

A few weeks ago, another ACR miner lost his life in the galleries after an explosion, while only one day ago, two miners in Tropoje died during a similar accident.
