Another police helicopter has been shot by firearm this Friday during the anti-cannabis operation in the Dukagjin area.
The bullets were fired when the helicopter was flying over the Pult village, but didn’t cause any damage. On the second day of the operation, the police has eliminated 7000 plants of cannabis in Dukagjin.
Yesterday the police eliminated 34.000 plants of hashish. On its second day, the operation was joined by the Shkoder Police, the FNSH (Quick Intervention Forces) and the RENEA special forces. 160 police officers traveled with one RENEA helicopter, two helicopters of the army and 15 vehicles.
The judiciary police were also part of these forces, together with 12 crime experts who will prepare the legal documents and register the evidence.
The police has been shot even in the first day for some minutes. Luckily, none of the bullets touched the helicopters and police vehicles. This is the second biggest operation against cannabis, after Lazarat.
