Budget deteriorates

Official data from the Ministry of Finances show that the Albanian financial state is deteriorating, different to the expectances.

The revenues of June 2011 were almost the same to those of June 2010, with a minimal increase of 1%. In the total semester, the revenues have increased with only 1.1%, without being able to justify even the inflation. Being paralyzed by the price increase, the government is collecting fewer revenues than in the last year. With these rhythms, the government has put in danger even the new budget that the Parliament reviewed only some days ago.

Although the plan for the revenues decreased to 18.3 billion ALL, the Ministry of Finances and the agencies dependend from it will have to collect 343.8 billion ALL in total. In the first half of the year they collected only 45% of the total. Facing the need for money, the government is increasing the inner debt. Only in the first six months, the debt in the domestic market was higher than the plan that was predicted for the entire year.
