Brecani suspended for 1 month

The General Chief of the State Police has suspended for one month the
Vice Chief of the Tirana Police, Erzen Brecani, after a comment on
Facebook in which he attacked the Socialist Party leader, Edi Rama, and
appealed to remove him from power.

The SP Parliament Members reacted right after the post and asked for him to be removed from duty, since he called the Socialist leader a “Hitler”.

Brecani denied to having posted the message, and said that the computer writing sector will be able to prove it.

Brecani added that the SP Parliament Members have politicized his actions.

“I have been working for the state police for the past 20 years. I have always carried out my duties. For the past five years I have worked with dedication in my current duty, and my actions have often been politicized by special individuals from the Democratic Party”, Brecani declared.
