The Kakavija border with Greece was blocked this Friday, after a technical avary. Greece allowed in only people with residence permit, forcing hundreds of passengers to queue for the entire night.
The Albanian side of the border explained that the computer system was blocked for technical reasons. This was confirmed by the Foreign Minister as well, Ditmir Bushati, who traveled to Kakavija to inspect the situation.
He had an intensive communication with his Greek counterpart, Nikos Kotzias, and the Greek Interior Minister, Nikos Toskas.
Bushati and Toska agreed to get people moving by scanning their passports through other provisory ways.
