The Rinas airport Border Police has criminally prosecuted two people for not declaring money in possession at the border and has seized 31,400 euros.
Citizen G.Q. born in Montenegro and living in Austria, stated that he needed the money for business and did not know that he had to declare it. The same justification was mentioned by a Turkish citizen who was coming from Istanbul to Tirana.
At the entrance of the Republic of Albania, during the detailed control of luggage and physical control of the citizen M.U., resident in Turkey, the Border Police services found in the handbag of this citizen the amount of 12900 euros, which this citizen had not declared.

The materials were forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office for further action.
