Bomb kills Palestinian in Tirana

An explosive blew off this Wednesday morning in Tirana, a few meters near the US Embassy, by creating panic among the residents.

A 43 year old Palestinian citizen, Anuar Rizvik, lost his life during the explosion that was placed at the door of a two storey villa where he was living with his wife.

The explosive trigger was placed at the door, activating the bomb after it would be opened, but it was also equipped with a remote control appliance. Since it was placed outside the door, Rizvik was unable to see the charge.

This made the police suspect that the killers were still around. They have interrogated some of the people that were standing nearby, but the Police did not announce and clear lead.

When trying to verify if he was a diplomatic member, they learned that Rizvik worked for the Fushe-Kruje cement factory, as the general vice manager of the factory.

This is the lead on which they are working for the moment. The Fushe-Kruje police also took under custody the usual suspects for explosives and are interrogating many of them. The explosive is undergoing lab tests for determining its type and the way it was triggered. Anuar had also become an Albanian citizen six months ago, after a Presidential decree.

Fushe-Kruje police takes many under custody

After the murder of Anuar Rizvik in Tirana, the General Vice Manager of one Fushe-Kruje cement factory, several police forces, supported by the Special Forces, have taken 20 people under custody at the Zalle village.

Most of them have previously been taken under custody by the police, suspected for the many explosives that have blown up against the factory.

The RENEA Special Forces controlled the residence of Ylli Zalla, who was arrested a few months ago and is still in prison, after he was caught in possession of a considerable amount of dynamite. The police has inspected even the cattle cottages and hay stacks.

The murder of one of the Lebanese cement company comes after a series of violent conflicts between the villagers and the company. The conflict is about the land ownership. There have been at least a dozen of explosions against the factory, such as the national road, the railway and the electricity poles that are connected with the factory.

The conflict between the residents and the company had been resolved informally, with every family receiving around 70.000 ALL per month to stay silent about the land ownership and the environment pollution. After this payment was interrupted, the explosions started.

Although the police has taken many villagers under custody, all of them have been released for lack of evidence.

The work at the cement factory goes on normally and the security measures have increased, with the factory guards carefully checking the vehicles that enter the factory.
