The Minister of Finances, Ridvan Bode, admitted that the Albanian economy is facing a series of problems.
In an interview for the VOA, Bode declared that Albania is feeling the global crisis effect, which the government had been denying so far.
“The progress pace has slowed down, although Albania was not directly involved in the financial crisis”, Bode declared.
Another problem which the Albanian state if facing, according to Bode, is the debt that has been considered as a priority for the government.
“The government is making all efforts for reducing the debt level. The 58.7% public debt is relatively high, compared to the other countries of the region”, Bode declared.
