Eight witnesses were called by the Prosecutor to testify in the Boboshtica grave violation trial.

Two main witnesses, Sotir Koço, “Saint Mary” church guardian, and Ilia Kuneshka, a local resident whose relative’s grave had been violated, declared that during the excavations around the cemetery human bone remains had been found.

Witnesses also testified that the excavation works were ordered by “Omonia Association” and performed by worker Alqi Koroveshi, without asking any permission and even after a confrontation with the locals.

According to them, the cemetery platform had dozens of graves. Even after bones had been found, the excavations have continued and a big part of the human remains had been put away inside a sack.

The three defendants were also present on trial, Naum Disho, head of “Omonia Association”, and the two workers: Alqi Koroveshi and Luan Zaçe. Despite the testimonies, they denied finding any human bone remains during the excavations and declared that they had no knowledge on the cemetery existence.
