Boboshtica trial, Appeal rejects Disho

The Court of Appeal left in act the arrest order for the leader of
OMONIA, Naum Disho, by rejecting his request for postponing the
implementation with 6 months.

The lawyer asked the postponement with the argument that the case should be followed at the Supreme Court. Both these arguments were opposed by the Prosecution.

It still remains unclear, however, the time when the arrest order will be executed.

Earlier the month, two days after the sentence was confirmed, Naum Disho disappeared and Police started looking for him.

The border Police declared that they had no data that Disho had gone to Greece or any other state.

The head of the Greek minority organization was sentenced to one year in prison by the Korce court, for desecrating the Boboshtica graves.

He was left free until the sentence would be reconfirmed by the Court of Appeal.

Together with Disho, the court sentenced to six months in probation the two workers that built the abusive memorial for the Greek soldiers, a process that damaged many other graves and exhumed old human remains in the surface.

Disho’s sentence was opposed by the OMONIA organization in Korce and the Unity for Human Rights Party, who considered the leader as innocent and considered the process as political.

The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Spiro Ksera, declared that he respected the court decision regarding the sentence.
