Blind and paraplegic people appeal MPs

On the verge of Thursday’s Parliamentary session, the blind and
paraplegic associations appealed the MPs to not vote the draft law for
their status, which has changed the reimbursement concepts for vital
services, such as electricity.

In a public appeal for the media, both associations that are directly affected by the changes made in the law for their status have asked the majority MPs to not vote the draft-law that according to them rejects all rights that they have gained so far.

“Our rights are protected with the Constitution. Don’t put our health and life even more in danger. We are you electors and we believe that we have elected the right people”, concludes the appeal of the blind and paraplegic people associations.

The head of the Blind People Association, Sinan Tafaj, declared one week ago that they will protest in front of the Parliament. If the status amends will be approved, the associations warn to escalate the protests.
