BLA appeals for informal businesses registration

Business Licensing Agency issued today an appeal to informal businesses to speed up licensing process, in order not to face the consequences of the campaign against informality planned to start in September by the Albanian government.
Vasilika Vjero, who heads the BLA said the agency is working extra hours in order to provide business owners the possibility to register and emphasized the importance of using the cash registers to avoid punishment from the government.
BLA counts today 169 528 operating businesses with permanent license, but only in the last two months, 3982 new businesses were added to the list. According to Vjero, this is the first sign of business owners leaving the informal sector.
