Biberaj: “Tired of traditional parties”

The newest Party in Albania was founded on 30 Aprul 2012, the New
Democratic Spirit, composed of former Democratic Party members who claim
to take power with a more European governing.
Aleksander Biberaj, one of the initiators of this party, declared in an interview for the Voice of America that they are in opposition with the current government, but they have very good relations with the Democratic Party structures and the members that are joining the New Democratic Spirit.
Although it has been named by the press “The Party of President Topi”, Biberaj declared that this political force would not belong to individuals, but it would be open for everyone.
“The Albanian citizens are tired and disappointed from the traditional parties. We have the most ambitious program that could undergo a public debate, so that we can enrich it and make it ready for the Parliamentary elections. The program is one side of the medal, because its implementation is the most important part. The traditional parties have had 22 years of time to resolve the issues of property, the persecuted people and the economic development”, Biberaj declared.
