Protesters today threw smoking devices and flares in the premises outside the parliament, while the plenary session is taking place inside.
There are many police forces surrounding the Parliament building, but so far there have been no clashes with the protesters.
At the end of his speech, former Prime Minister Berisha called on the police not to provoke the protesters because they will have “serious consequences”.
Inside the hall, the opposition MPs again asked for a motion for a debate with Prime Minister Edi Rama on the McGonigal case.
The Democrats blocked the floor, while some of them blew whistles without stopping, creating chaos. On the other hand, dozens of opposition supporters have gathered outside the Assembly.
The head of the opposition Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, and MP Monika Kryemadhi have also become part of the protest.
Shortly before the start of the session, the expelled opposition MPs collided with the security after they tried to force their way into the premises of the Assembly.
They submitted to the Assembly a request to overturn the decision on the expulsion of the deputies.
But the Bureau of the Assembly left in force the decision taken the day before by the Ethics Commission to expel MPs Sali Berisha, Flamur Noka, Kelliçit and Paloka, for blocking the floor of the Assembly and violating ethics.
