The Tirana high-school students told the Albanian Prime Minister, Sali
Berisha, that they needed better conditions in schools for increasing
the knowledge standards.
Berisha declared that during these mandates they have built and rebuilt 1300 schools, and that according to him, the program of the next mandate would foresee the completion of the teaching infrastructure, not only with the reconstruction of the 500 remaining schools, but also with the new internet usage project.
“From the project ‘internet for every school’, we will go to ‘internet for every classroom’. This is the generation of Facebook and Internet”, Berisha declared.
For the high school students and Prime Minister Berisha, the next important step was that after finishing university, the youth could have more employment opportunities. According to the Prime Minister, the best solution for this is the new electoral program of the Democratic Party.
A high school student noted that the graduation tests this time coincide with the elections. According to Berisha, the youth must take advantage of this coincidence to be excellent not only in tests, but also with their political decisions.
“Besides the tests, you should not forget to also vote. For as long that I will be in power, the youth program will be a priority. We haven’t had a better ally than the youth, a decisive factor for every victory of the Democratic Party”, Berisha declared.
The students asked Berisha about what Albania has lost by failing to receive the status, and after the three laws failed.
“The laws are not voted because Rama thinks that with the status he will lose the elections. But by failing with the status, millions of direct and indirect profits will be lost. The youth loses the facilitating procedures to compete in EU universities”, Berisha declared.
During the meeting with the Tirana high school students, Berisha declared that he is determined to ask a referendum after the Parliamentary elections, and a national referendum for the voting of the three laws which according to Berisha should not be withheld by anyone.
