Berisha: We saved lives

“Responsibility has prevailed in the entire country. This has been the widest emergency operation ever undertaken in the history of our country. The operation has started with the removal of thousands of meters cube of snow, with the distribution of medical help in all areas, with the evacuation of sick people and pregnant mothers, and with the distribution of food aids in isolated areas”, Berisha declared.

The Prime Minister declared that since the following days could have other snow falls, the heads of the communes must use the fund for opening the blocked roads. Berisha criticized in Korce the opposition’s stance in this emergency situation.

“It is the most normal thing for the opposition to seek information, but not to desecrate other people’s code of death. This is the most unacceptable. Raising the voice why the Prime Minister did not come to parliament when he was not appealed is just ridiculous. Do you know why they didn’t appeal the Prime Minister? The Prime Minister was ready to go to Parliament and report everything, but they knew they would face a long list of measures taken throughout the country for confronting the situation. This is what they didn’t want to listen. They wanted to make press releases, and this is not normal”, Berisha declared.

Berisha also valued the role of the media for the information of the public minute after minute.

Topalli visits Kukes

The Parliament Speaker, Jozefina Topalli, met the Kukes local authorities and the Emergency Headquarter of this district, from where she was updated with the situation in the blocked areas.

“Our entire attention is here, in the Kukes District, as in Diber, Shkoder and Korce. We passed a difficult moment. We were helped by the new infrastructure built throughout Albania. This was the most important thing that made us not lose communication. I am here with my colleagues, with the MP that represents the area, for thanking you all”, Topalli declared.
