The road Levan-Tepelena, which eliminates all difficult curves of the
Ballshi road, is yet incomplete but 23s of it have finished.

This was a good occasion for the Prime Minister Berisha not only to inspect the works in the entire length of the road, but also to note the government achievements in its second mandate.

The Levan-Tepelena road, 71 kilometers long, extends in a new path through the Vjosa River valley.

The shortening of the road and the travel time is made possible by the construction of many artworks, 38 of which are bridges. The road will end in the last year and for Prime Minister Berisha, this is a masterpiece of the public works in Albania, and another evidence for the promises kept by his government.

“This road is really transforming. This will make all southern Albanians come to the markets of Tirana in a very short time, and tourists from Tirana and all over the world will reach Saranda, Gjirokastra and Tepelena in a time that 2-3 years ago was unimaginable. I think that this road honors Albania for its 100th anniversary of independence”, Berisha declared.

The Levan-Tepelena road is a 70 million EUR investment of the Albanian government, which the Prime Minister used for comparing the ruling party with what the opposition has to offer.

“This road is lucky, because it cannot be blocked by the policy of the Socialist Party leader. I guarantee you that if the roads would be in the blocking package, the Albanians wouldn’t be see a single road”, Berisha declared.

Berisha refused to comment about the debate between the President and the Parliament Speaker, but he used figures of speech to refer to the declaration of the EU ambassador in Tirana, Ettore Sequi, who said that Albania needs the language of unification.

“We are building bridges of unification. We are building everyday and every month roads and bridges of unification”, Berisha declared.

Top Channel: Do you think that the President is doing the same thing?

Berisha: I am here today for this masterpiece of the public works in Albania, which, which can be compared with Fierza for its greatness. It is a very important road and I cannot come out of these feelings today. Save these questions in other press conferences, because today I am totally inspired by Vjosa and the beauties of its valley.
