Berisha travels to Chicago

The Albanian Prime Minister traveled to Chicago, where he will
participate at the 25th NATO summit. For Albania, this is the second
summit in which it is present with full rights, since April 2009.
Berisha is accompanied by the Foreign Minister, Edmond Haxhinasto, and the Minister of Defense, Arben Imami.
The Prime Minister’s press office declared that the head of the Albanian government will participate at the Northern Atlantic Council, where the fallen NATO soldiers will be commemorated.
Berisha and the other NATO member country leaders will participate in the sessions dedicated to Afghanistan and the reinforcement of the Alliance capacities, which will be the main issues of this summit.
Berisha will stay for less than three days in the US, and he will return to Tirana on Monday.
The Prime Minister will return earlier due to the mini-summits that will be held in Tirana, where everyone is waiting to start the procedures for the election of the new President.
