Berisha to Rama: Let’ lift immunity

The Albanian Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, made another appeal to the
Socialist leader, Edi Rama, to pass the immunity lifting on August
sixth.

Berisha declared during the government meeting that Rama will enter the Guiness records for being the only opposition leader that wants the Prime Minister to keep his immunity.

“Once he demands power for the minority, because he still preserves the concept that the minority should lead the country, rather than the majority. There is no more fatal concept than this in democracy. And when he fails to defend this theory, he says that corruption cannot be fought by lifting immunity. But how is it fought, by preserving immunity? I invite him to pass the law, or his risks entering the Guiness Records for being the only opposition leader who wants the Prime Minister to have immunity”, Berisha declared.

Berisha underlined that Rama doesn’t have a problem with that, but with the protectin of his billionaire club that take all the decisions inside the SP, according to Berisha.

“Everyone knows that his problem is not Berisha or the Ministers, but the billionaire club of the SP. If Rama thinks that corruption cannot be fought by removing the immunity, he forgets that with the Constitution of the minority, the country is doomed”, Berisha declared.

“I appeal him to give up from pseudo-arguments and not be misused by 3-4 people in his party, but to come and vote on August sixth the project where we took in consideration all requests made by the Socialist Party”, the Prime Minister declared.
