The Albanian Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, invited the Socialist leader,
Edi Rama, to reach a consensus for concluding the electoral reform and a
series of others that are requested by the European Union for Albania’s
EU candidate status.

Speaking on the Democratic Party Parliament Group, Berisha declared that the consensus should not be used for blocking, but it is a process in which each party must make concessions.

“We have worked for several months with the electoral reform, bringing them almost to the completion, and we must not use the political power to block the process”, Berisha declared.

During his speech, Berisha declared that the government will increase the wages and pensions according to the plan, and hundreds of infrastructure projects will be realized.

“Our model stands for the great difficulties of multidimensional crisis”, Berisha declared.

The Prime Minister added that the crisis damages the buying power, but the Albanian economy is still doing good.
