Albania has offered its full support to the stances held by Kosovo in the dialogue with Serbia.

During a meeting of PM Berisha with the Kosovo main negotiator, Edita Tahiri, they declared that the problems in Northern Kosovo are created and manipulated by Belgrade.

They underlined that a definite condition for the normal progress of the Brussels process, would be the respecting of the agreements by Serbia.

Both politicians share the same opinion, that Albania and Kosovo believe that the respecting of the current borders in Southern Balkan is on the best interest of the entire region.

Berisha and Tahiri declared that any scheme that would suggest a border change, would bring a chain reaction with the borders of other areas, which goes against the aspirations of the EU and Balkan countries.

The dialogue for technical matters between Prishtina and Belgrade has started on March 2011, with EU mediation, and some rounds have been held.

The EU mediator, Robert Cooper, and the head of the Serbial Delegation in this process, Borislav Stefanovic, met this Wednesday in Vienna.

The dialogue was blocked after the parties disagreed on Kosovo’s representation in regional initiatives, with Serbia suggesting that it should be made according to Resolution 1244, and Kosovo opposing such an option.
