Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future The Albanian Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, appealed the Socialist
leader, Edi Rama, to vote the Law for Lifting the Immunity on the
Parliamentary Session of August 6th.
Berisha accused the oppsotiion of withholding the process on behald of the interests of a group of billionaires at the Socialist Party.
“I appeal Rama to rethink it, because what he is doing is very serious and against the vital interest of every citizen of this country. It is a wall between the integration process, a generator of corruption and inequality”, Berisha declared.
Berisha asked earlier the implementation of the law for the return of properties to the old owners, while the actual users will have the opportunity to buy another residence through zero interest loans.
Rama reacts on Twitter
Edi Rama commented the declarations of PM Berisha about the August sixth session, when they will discuss the lifting of immunity for high rank officials and judges.
From Mallakaster, where he is meeting the local SP leaders, Rama reacted through twitter by saying that SP has said “yes” to the immunity lifting, and no to the “blind amned” of the Constitution. He underlines that the Constitutional amends are made through a public process.
In another message, Rama says that Berisha cannot impose the opposition his vision for changing the Constitution.
Rama reminds the PM that the opposition has its own stand for this issue.
