The Spokesperson for the Albanian Prime Minister, Erla Mehilli, announcd
this Monday that the Prime Minister signed the decision to increase
wages for state employees.
Mehilli declared that these developments show the financial stability of the situation in Albania.
“Prime Minister Berisha signed the government decision for increasing the wages of state employees. With this wage increase, the government has realized its promise for increasing wages and pensions”, declared the Prime Minister’s spokesperson, Erla Mehilli.
SP: Berisha is lying about the wage increase
The Socialist MP, Ilir Beqja, accused the government of lying about the wage and pension increase.
“We heard today that Berisha had signed the wage increase, but the consumption power from families has declined, and this is a fact”, Beqja declared in a press release.
The Socialist MP emphasized that this government has raised taxes to the maximum, and that the SP will ease them after coming to power.
“Berisha has raised taxes. The SP program for an Albanian rebirth will remove the flat tax and will help the middle class. Who has less revenues will pay less taxes”, Beqja declared.
The opposition MP added that in a difficult economic situation, all the Prime Minister thinks about is to reconstruct luxury villas for himself and the President.
