Berisha signs for TAP

The Albanian Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, signed the government
decision in which Albania agrees to cooperate with Greece and Italy for
the Trans Adriatic Pipeline.

This is the first time in 8 years that Prime Minister Berisha signs a government decision in public.

This choice must be based on the significance that the TAP project has for Albania’s future.

This system re-dimensions Albania’s international position and brings colossal profits for the country’s economy.

The Prime Minister declared that only in Albania’s territory, the investment reaches 2 billion USD and creates 20.000 new jobs.

TAP is the rival of the Nabuco project, that doesn’t include Albania, and the final decision will be taken during this year.

The governments of Greece, Italy and Albania will sign the agreement this Wednesday in Athens. Albania will be represented by the Minister of Economy, Edmond Haxhinasto.
