Berisha: Rama to quit slander politics

The Albanian Prime Minister invited the Socialist leader, Edi Rama, to quit the slander politics in his electoral campaign.

“I regret the opposition’s theory that we have great misery today in Albania. During the Socialist government there was a system of corruption, a phenomenon that still exists but that now is facing a solid war against”, Berisha declared.

According to the Prime Minister, the economic program of the Socialist party is completely based against the privatization.

Berisha released these declarations during the Parliamentary Group meeting, in which he praised the session held at the Legislation Council.

“Removing the immunity is on the interest of the Albanian citizen. We are determined to progress towards equality and the law”, Berisha declared.

Renewable energy, Berisha invites Austrian business

PM Sali Berisha has invited the Austrian business to invest on the renewable energy in Albania, since it is a branch of great potentials, according to him.

During an activity organized by an Austrian private company, the Head of the Government has promised to the investors of this area that they will have maximal facilities to invest. Berisha declared that the project started for the renewable energy is giving the first fruits. According to him, more than 70 small hydropower plants have been built or reconstructed since 2007, with a power of 120 MW, including that of Ashta.
