Berisha: Rama to give up boycott

The Head of the Government, who showed his readiness to change the Constitution and remove the immunity of high-rank officials, made this appeal because he was convinced that the Socialists will continue to try and block the reforms, although they voted the Penal Code in Parliament.

 While analyzing the political situation in the country, from which is depended the EU candidate status, the Prime Minister declared that he had talked with high rank European leaders in Brussels, during the European Popular Party summit.

“This is a policy that is trying to achieve blocking and failure, because the only way Mr. Rama sees for coming to power, is the failure and blocking, which he mistakenly bases on a logic that was rejected by the citizens in 2011. He believes that a chain of failures could penalize the government and not the opposition, even when it is directly caused by them. However, I appeal the opposition to give up from the concept that the blocking is on the opposition’s interest. It only damages and removes every chance from them. The EU has made it clear that the process is all inclusive”, Berisha declared.

Edi Rama reacted on Twitter by saying that the opposition has made its part, as regards the integration, by voting the qualified majority laws, which was greeted by the international community. According to Rama, the failure for the status belongs to the government and its policies.

Berisha: Lezhe Municipality, perfect organization

Prime Minister Sali Berisha declared that the Leze Municipality made a perfect organization of the 568th ceremony of the Lezhe Covenant. The Albanian President declared that he was not invited in this ceremony that symbolizes the unity of Albanians.

“They have created a fuss about the ceremony organization in Lezhe. There were participants from all areas where the Albanians leave. Those who say that they weren’t invited only want to create confusion”, Berisha declared.
