Berisha: “Rama captures justice with vetting”

The Democratic Party will not give its votes for the justice reform if
their request is not accepted for the four new institutions that come
out of this reform. He underlined the stance of the opposition, and gave
the reasons:

“Edi Rama has accepted this for two, not for four institutions. He says that he wants to do the vetting. He says that these two institutions should be managed by one party”, Berisha declared.

Berisha says that the fact that the majority is not sending the draft to Venice, shows that their purpose is to capture the justice system.

Berisha spoke about the visit of the German Foreign Minister, and said that Rama is depositing lies against the opposition at the European chancelleries.

“But Europe is transparent and every lie will come back as a boomerang”, Berisha declared.

The justice reform has put the Democratic Party not only against the SP, but also against embassies such as the US one. Berisha said that the Venice Commission is above embassies and governments, as regards legal issues.

Berisha invited PM Rama to sit and discuss with the opposition for a transparent solution that doesn’t allow justice to be captured.

“Don’t think that the opposition will give votes so that you can take the Albanian justice under your control. This cannot happen”, he said.
