Berisha: Progressive tax is dangerous

The Albanian Prime Minister declared today that foreign driving licences
should be recognized in Albania, and that the progressive tax proposed
by the Socialist Party is very dangerous.
Berisha referred to an international study to illustrate the government’s concept regarding the flat and progressive taxes. The PM says that the flat tax is optimal, while progressive tax is dangerous and increases inequality.
“This study shows that this tax is dangerous, because it increases inequality. This principle should be accepted today. The progressive tax is a serious concern and I hope Mr.Rama will not use it”, Berisha declared.
The Prime Minister also ironically accused his opponent that he is bringing back the tax of his uncle, since the dictatorship era.
Rama reacts on Twitter
“Two days ago took the oath the US President who was voted for reducing taxes to 95% of Americans, and making those who profit more to pay more. Our Prime Minister is saying that finally America understood that the flat tax is optimal and the progressive is a clown. Who is the real clown?”, Rama declared.
