The Head of the Albanian government, Sali Berisha, launched serious
accusations against the Head of the Albanian State, President Topi.

Speaking at the ceremony that commemorated the 22 intellectuals executed by the Communist regime, Berisha underlined that the representative elected by the right winged party, the Albanian President, refused to sign the Lustration Law.

“Five years ago we elected our representative to the Presidency, trusting that he belonged to the Democratic Party, but he refused to sign the Lustration Law, which would reveal the truth for the institution that executed these men and 5000 others”, Berisha declared.

On the Memory Day, Berisha spoke about the event of 1951, when the communists executed 22 intellectuals. The Head of the Albanian Government underlined that today is being commemorated one of the ugliest massacres of Enver Hoxha’s regime.

“The killed intellectuals were buried in a common grave. They were joined by the trust to the freedom of their country”, Berisha declared.
