Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future The Albanian Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, declared that the majority
cannot take a mandate that does not belong to them, in reply of the
Socialist stance about the blocked Socialist mandate, abandoned by MP
Seseri.
“The Socialist leader is accusing the majority of trying to steal an opposition mandate. The laws are very clear about the mandates. The next MP on the list, Gjon Bardhi, now has two mandates”, Berisha declared.
The Prime Minister led today’s Parliament Group meeting a few days after the visit in Turkey, which he described in very high notes.
“The Albania-Turkey relations have progressed very much. Turkey has the second biggest economic growth, after China. Turkish investments in Albania have increased quickly”, Berisha delcared.
Berisha declared that Turkish investors promised him to be present in Albania for developing the tourism sector even further.
Rama: The Prime Minister dreams for a conflict with the opposition
The Socialist leader responded to the Prime Minister’s declaration that he released from the parliamentary Group meeting.
“I am here today to respond to the absurdities that you heard from the Prime Minister. The opposition’s MP mandate is not the first that is being withheld from this majority, through anti constitutional and anti legal way”, Rama declared.
The Socialist leader declared that the opposition seat is not related with the mandates abandoned by MPs Basha and Xhaferri, which Berisha mentioned today.
“After an MP resigned, Mr. Gjon Bardhi was granted by the Central Election Commission with the MP mandate, but he chose to continue as Mayor and refused the mandate through a written letter, by resigning. According to the law, he gave up to the Parliament Seat according to all rules, and his seat needs to be filled. Now CEC is waiting for the Parliament decision to continue with the next name on the SP list”, Rama declared.
The Socialist leader underlined that after these declarations, the Prime Minister cannot hide that he is dreaming for a conflict with the opposition, in order to prepare a justification that the opposition is blocking him.
