The Albanian flag appeared at the giant screen of Nasdaq, in the famous
New York Times Square, where the Albanian Prime Minister Berisha
returned after two years.

Nasdaq, the second most important stock market  in the USA, invited Prime Minister Berisha to close the electronic stock market, where are listed more than 2800 international corporations and companies. This was a great occasion for the Albanian Prime Minister to promote Albania’s financial model on the US economic TVs that broadcast live the closure of international markets. According to Berisha, thanks to this model, Albania not only did not experience recession, but its growth is stable and the country has increased foreign investments.

“Our economic model is based on a small government, with a low tax burden and with great investments in the most favorable and friendliest climate towards investors. In the recent report of the Global Competitiveness, you will find that my government is ranked among 10 world’s first governments for the least interventions in economic matters”, Berisha declared.

Before ringing the closure bell, Berisha gave another message for all foreign investors at the New York Nasdaq.

“Nasdaq is closing for the day, but Albania is open to businesses. Our way is not a boulevard full of flowers, but a road full of hopes, where the dreams are coming true”, Berisha declared.

In this turbulent time for the international markets, the presence of the Prime Minister resulted to be lucky, since Nasdaq closed this Tuesday with 0.84 positive points compared to one day ago.
