Berisha: Increased excellence fund

The Albanian Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, held a meeting this Monday
with the excellence students at the Students’ Town, Tirana.

The Prime Minister promised to increase the excellence fund and a series of initiatives in support of the ambitious students.

“The number of students has tripled in the last years. The excellence fund is over 1 million USD for all universities, and this year had also students from Kosovo who benefited. We are determined to increase this fund in exchange of an agreement with the students”, Berisha declared.

Listing the government’s priorities for this category of students, the government leader underlined the importance of the scientific researches.

“Scientific researches are a priority. For students who have this ambition, researches are very important, especially the cooperation with foreign specialists”, Berisha underlined.

He declared that the topics that the students treat in their diplomas should be important and make a basis for the scientific researches.

“Naturally, the project will be financed if the department considers it aas valid. Our commitment for this scientific research is extremely important”, Berisha declared.
