Berisha: Economic growth is 2.7%

While the Minister of Finances, Ridvan Bode, declared that the economic
growth in Albania was 1.5% in 2012, the Albanian Prime Minister, Sali
Berisha, declared that the economic growth during the third trimester of
2012 marked 2.7%.

Berisha explained the economic growth as a real success thanks to the economic reforms and policies that were followed.

“Albania was world’s fourth country that turned the economic growth into well-being for its citizens. The IMF report shows that Albania’s economic growth is stable. The debate is pushed by ill will or ignorance of people who do not have the basic economic knowledge”, he declared.

Berisha accused the opposition leader, Edi Rama, of having a tax idea that will make Albania regress, while the Democratic Party slogan is “Forward!”.

“With the new idea of special taxes he is going back to property confiscations of 1945. This is what Rama is promising to businesses. Rama cannot go forward”, Berisha declared.

According to him, the Socialist leader and his “Progressive Tax” and “Special Tax Agency” ideas are plans to rob businesses away from rich people.

“I hear Mr.Rama saying ‘Long live Koleka’ and the next day ‘Down with koleka’. He’s his uncle, but this doesn’t matter, because everyone is entitled to the right to change. But if he returns to Koleka with the progressive tax, he will destroy jobs. He spoke about special tax agencies to rob the rich people. He spoke about the politics that used to rob and destroy businesses”, Berisha declared.
