Berisha concludes visit in Paris

During his visit in Paris, where he attended the “New World 2012”, the
Albanian Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, followed the second day of the
seminar that was closed by the Italian Prime Minister, Mario Monti.

Berisha met the French State Secretary for Economy and Foreign Trade, Pierre Lellouche, who lobbied at the Albanian government for the purchase of the helicopters from the Eurocopter Company, part of the European EADS consortium. While the contract was being concluded, he came and publicly supported Berisha in Tirana.

According to the Prime Ministry, the Secretary Lellouche expressed to Berisha his felicitations for Albania’s economic success in this period of international crisis. He said that the cooperation interest of the French Government and private sector has increased.

Part of this interest Berisha was able to see concretely during the meeting with Patric Kron, CEO of ALSTOM, the international giant of transportation and energy.

According to the Prime Ministry, the head of ALSTOM presented Berisha a decision of the ALSTOM board of directors for being present in Albania with transportation projects.

Mr. Kron underlined the interest of his company for the construction of Tirana’s tram. Berisha also participated in the reception hosted at the Elysee by the French President, Nicolas Sarkozy.
