Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future The Albanian Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, referred to the declarations
handed over by merchants to say that trade in Albania has increased with
25.6% compared to one year ago.
For the Prime Minister, this is a safe indicator since the traders have no interest to declare more than the reality, and it shows that there’s an increase of the buying power in the country while the European crisis keeps being a threat.
“Since trade is the blood of economy, than the blood circulation in Albania is in a good shape. I can say you that trade has been increased more than the predictions. This shows an increase of the buying power in our country.
But Berisha says that he is aware that despite the trade increase, there are still citizens in need in Albania.
However, Berisha says that the government is being more honest with the citizens than the opposition leader, who is visiting different businesses these days, showing their difficulties.
“I want to tell the Socialist Party leader that he looked pathetic when he went to the shops of the Socialist MPs in Durres. At least he should had chosen other businesses. I’m not saying that there are no people who have no money to buy stuff, and I’m not saying that we don’t have people who are buying food on a tab, but I’m saying that we are making everything possible for increasing employment among the citizens. Albania has no unemployment in this moment, but a progressive reduction of unemployment, many new jobs are being created”, Berisha declared.
By mentioning the the decreased fee for the maintenance of the fiscal cases from 96.000 ALL to 4.000 ALL, Berisha declared that Edi Rama’s promises are empty.
“We don’t give empty promises. We realize what we promise. Going in front of a businessman of your party and saying that you will remove taxes to him, and then saying that he will not pay that much, but less, you are talking about two very different things”, Berisha declared.
