Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future The 48th Munich Security Conference is being held in Germany, with the
PM Sali Berisha among the world leaders that were present in this event.
The first day’s topic is “Germany’s Role in Europe and the World”, and “Energy, Resources and Environment as Parameters for a New Security”.
“This is the most important annual conference that is being made for the Euro-Atlantic security. A special interest for me had the fact that the topic this time was focused on energy and security. Albania is a country of great potentials, in which there might pass powerful gas pipelines that will bring the Caspian gas to Europe. Therefore, I considered this session as extremely important. I discussed with important factors, such as the President of Azerbaijan, a friend country where I will attend a visit soon, and also with other important representatives of the energetic area”, Berisha declared.
Berisha used the participation in this conference for meeting businessmen that have shown their interest for investing in the energetic sources of Albania. PM Berisha also had a meeting with the Foreign Minister of Australia, where they discussed about the bilateral relations and their expansion in all fields. In this conference is also present the Kosovo President, Atifete Jahjaga. The Munich Security Conference was founded in 1962, and it has a long tradition in discussing the security policies. It has also returned in a great world event of this area.
