Berisha and Sequi inaugurate school

The Albanian Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, continued the tour of school
inaugurations in the country. Together with the EU ambassador, Ettore
Sequi, the government leader inaugurated the professional high school
“Salih Ceka” in Elbasan.

Berisha declared that one of the government’s main priorities is education, especially the professional one, emphasizing that the professional high schools will increase the employment possibilities in our country and abroad. Berisha added that there have been more students in the professional high schools this year, and he thanked ambassador Sequi for the financial support that was given to the government in Education. Berisha guaranteed that there would be internet in every classroom and that the teachers’ wages would increase.

The EU Ambassador, Ettore Sequi, declared that the professional education prepares students for the job market and that the EU has invested more than 8.2 million EUR in this sector. Sequi appealed for more students to go in professional high schools.

The school that was inaugurated with a 1.2 million EUR fund was financed by the international community. It will have 1000 students from different cities of Albania, who will study in profiles such as computer science, mechanics, plumbing, etc.
