“For us it is an act that we have asked. For him is washing his hands after an ugly crime… blocking his own country”.
This is what the Albanian Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, declared from Shkoder today by saying that he will vote the three integration laws without any condition. According to Berisha, this delayed voting will still not help our country with the candidate status.
The Prime Minister declared that he will not use conditions for this voting that he has been asking for one year, and not even with the fiscal amnesty law. He said thathe is ready to accept the opposition’s condition for letting the laws enter in effect on September.
“If you ask me to accept the Socialist Party conditions, so that they can wash their face with the dirty water that they have created, I accept. If they try to justify that the laws were approved with such a condition, they are more ridiculous than ever. In fact, they are voting the laws. But where is his condition now for Fier? A fighter of lost battles, and this is his next defeat. This is nothing more than his attempt to wash his hands”, Berisha declared.
Another issue that waits for a solution is that of the the Central Election Commission. The opposition wants a reforming, but the Prime Minister is ready only for the opposition to fill the current vacancies.
“They can bring them, if they want. If they don’t, they can not bring them. He can recognize the elections, if he want, or he may not recognize them. My duty is to make a fair play and that’s what is happening”, Berisha underlined.
The United States Ambassador this Friday used the term “Constituting of the the Central Election Commission”, when he spoke about the session in which the three laws will be voted. But Prime Minister Berisha declared in Shkoder that the constituting has already happened. “The Commission is constituted. If Rama brings candidacies, we will vote them”, Berisha declared.
Jonathan Moore, the high rank official of the State Department in the United States of America, has arrived in Tirana for the the Central Election Commission issue. Berisha insinuated that there could be a proposition from the United States official.
“The relations between the two countries are excellent and Mr.Moore is a very welcomed friend. But I don’t know about Rama’s position on this”, Berisha added.
