The Constitutional Court verdict for removing the parliamentary mandate
of MP Ilir Beqaj in 2011 could save today the mandate of MP Koco
Kokedhima, rather than serving to punish him. According to the lawyer of
Kokedhima, the law used in the Beqaj case serves to clearly show the
moment when the MP mandate starts.
Eno Bushi, the legal representative of Beqaj in 2011, the conclusion is the same. If they refer to the case of Minsiter Beqaj, the interpretation of the Constitutional Court leaves no room for removing the mandate of MP Koco Kokedhima, according to him.
According to them, there is no law violation with MP Kokedhima, since the contracts of the company he held shares in, were not signed during the time when he received the mandate of the Central Election Commission, but they were signed before this period.
